And The Winner Is….

Recently we’ve been mentioning the Inspire Women Awards 2019. Our Chief Monkey, Chris, was up for the #HeForShe Award and we couldn’t have been prouder of him for being the person he is and getting this far.

Saturday night came around and Chief Monkeys Chris and Lindsay had their finest attire on and off they went to the awards do. It was a great night and enjoyed by everyone.

The time came for Chris’ category…

Everyone was sitting on the edge of their seats.

The the announcement was made

“The HeForShe Award winner is…. *drum roll*… Chris Dawes!!!” 🎉

He only went and won!!!

Over. The. Moon.

There was a lovely tribute to Chris and all his hard work too…

“Through the use of his company & web design skills, Chris has donated over £12,000 to a number of charities over the past five years. These contributions can range from free websites to sponsoring minority groups, e.g. a disabled football team. He is also an active member of a mentoring club, where he supports other business owners from all walks of life in achieving their goals – regularly assisting them with work and phone calls. He offers his support and boosts their confidence. When her wife decided to quit her job and find herself, he took on all financial responsibilities whilst he continued to support her journey of self discovery and self confidence, retaining the faith she gave him when he began launching Scruffymonkey. He is the co founder of www.scruffymonkey.co.uk. He has assisted many women in pursuing their business ideas, including previous Inspire Women Award winners and nominees.
