The e3 Awards 2019

On Thursday 11th July, The Chief Monkeys scrubbed up well, put on their glad rags, and headed off to The e3 Awards 2019.

We had 2 nominations under our belt. The first was the Digital, Creative, and Media Award. The second was for Family Business of the Year. We were up against some stiff competition and were both excited and honoured to not only be nominated but have the chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with some businesses that we truly admire.

Being nominated for an award really gets you thinking about you and your business. At first you start to think you have no chance because of the people you’re up against. You get nervous, you get excited. You start to analyse. Maybe we COULD win. Maybe the reason we’re here is because someone thought we were good enough. Maybe we’re just as good as the giants we stand against.

It’s a real roller coaster of emotions.

The best part of getting a nomination is the fact it really makes you happy and confident in what you do. It gives you a “HELL YEAH” moment.

At the event, it turned out not to be our night, on either categories, but we were so pleased to have been nominated, it really didn’t matter. we were already winners and this whole process has really boosted us as a business, and as a team.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank e3 Awards for everything you done on the run up and during the presentation evening. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, short listed and especially those who won. You deserve the success and hopefully, we’ll be back next year to do it all again!
