Scruffymonkey jumped into action for this client, who were under immense pressure to get the website up and running.
The client was guided by the Scruffymonkey team for the content they would need to consider including on the website. The process used for content collection was made easier than you would receive from a standard agency, with the Scruffymonkey system. Their understanding of the charity sector meant Scruffymonkey were already on the same wavelength with the charity and could balance both what information was required by visitors to the site, and with the needs of the charity’s management team.
A referral section was built into the site – both for an external referral or self-referral. This included downloadable documents such as Refuge Referral Form, Independent Domestic Violence Advocate Referral Form, Young People’s Outreach Referral Form, Japanese Outreach Referral Form, Support Group Referral Form, and No Recourse to Public Funds Outreach Referral Form.
Across the site, two key buttons are prominent on every header – ‘Get Help’ and ‘Donate’. These are the key actions that someone viewing the website would need and it was crucial to be clearly visible.
The most important element built into the website was the ‘Exit Site’ button, which sits in the bottom right corner of the screen, no matter what page is being viewed. This will instantly close the website, should the person viewing it be in a difficult position.
